The POLYCUBE® is a special transport bag which was developed for the cold transport of pasty and viscous materials – and particularly bitumen.
The POLYCUBE® differs considerably from the traditional Big Bag when it comes to qualities, size, and shape, as well as design.
In terms of design and the use of materials, it was aimed deliberately at the high demands imposed by international cold transport of bitumen, so as to guarantee toughness, self-stabilization, and, at the same time, maximum flexibility.
The design ensures that handling with a forklift is simplicity itself. After a short cooling phase for the bitumen, the POLYCUBE® is immediately ready to be taken into storage, and can be stacked in the 20ft Container in up to four layers. This is where the POLYCUBE® really wins with its shape and weight: Thanks to the easy handling, a standard 20´container holds the equivalent of 24tons.
